120 Low Cost Flats Constructed Next Year

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to construct 120 towers of low cost flat (Rusunawa) in 2015. The flat will be used as relocation for citizens who obstructed by city's project.

City's budget is enough for buying the land, but mostly people did not want to sell it

Jakarta Head Dept. of Housing and Government Building, Yonathan Pasodung, the flats will be constructed in 8 points.

"We have bought 30 ha of land. 1 ha of land could be use for three towers," he said, Saturday (12/6).

42 Rusunawa Flats Sealed

According to him, the governor instructs to construct 500 blocks per year. Due to limit of human resource, the early stage is only 120 towers.

"City's budget is enough for buying the land, but mostly people did not want to sell it," he added.

Pasodung added that the flat is prioritized for relocated river bank residents. Later, all citizens who have family and Jakarta ID card are able to occupy the flat.

Those 8 locations are in Cilincing North Jakarta by 3.5 ha, Rorotan Urban Village by 4.5 ha, Jalan Rorotan Nagrak Cilincing by 2.6 ha, Jalan Radjiman Cakung by 4.5 ha and 8,000 meter square, Jalan Raya Bogor KM 28 by 2.6 ha, Pulo Gebang Penggilingan by 3.3 ha, Jatinegara Urban Village, Cakung by 1.5 ha, and Marunda Makmur, Cilincing by 2.6 ha.
